1. Introduction
Welcome to Menna. Menna is a digital personal finance assistant designed for sole traders and small business owners. We help our users track cash flow, monitor expenses and manage their credit score, while also providing a marketplace to search for offers on loans and other financial products.
When you use any of our products or services, you enter into a legal agreement (the “Agreement”) with us. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) explain our responsibilities and yours, and how you can use our products and services. These Terms are not an exhaustive list of all of your, or our, rights or responsibilities. There may also be additional terms under general law. If you want more information about your consumer rights, contact a consumer advice organisation, such as the Citizens’ Advice Bureau.
These Terms set out your Agreement with us in relation to the use of our website, apps and services. They do not create any relationship or Agreement between you and any other person (including our affiliates and third party service providers).
For more information on how we collect and use your personal data, please take a look at our Privacy Policy.

3. Our Services
Menna provides a personal and business finance information management service that allows you to consolidate and track your financial information and search for financial products (the “Services”).
Menna provides information for educational and guidance purposes only and does not offer financial advice. For assistance with financial challenges like managing debt, you can access free advice from trusted providers.
Credit Information Services
We provide tools to access and understand your credit score, to do this we source both your personal and business credit report and credit score from Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs) as your authorised representative. This service includes credit monitoring, advice on improving your credit score, and tailored financial product suggestions.
-
- Data Access and Authorisation: We retrieve your credit information monthly via soft credit searches, which do not affect your credit score or visibility to lenders. By using our services, you authorise us to collect and process this data on your behalf. Opting out of soft searches is possible but limits access to tailored product offers.
- Identity Verification and Usage: To access your personal credit report, you must pass identity authentication for security reasons. If unsuccessful, we may assist but are not obligated to explain the reason for failure. Monthly updates to your credit information are available as long as you remain an active user, defined as logging in within 12 months.
- Analysis and Recommendations: We analyse your credit data and, where applicable, that of your financial associates, to provide insights into your credit position. This information is used to identify and present suitable financial products, though we do not offer financial advice. Offers are based on your profile and the merits of each product, but decisions on applying are entirely yours.
- Third-Party Providers: We collaborate with CRAs, lenders, banks and other financial service providers (“Partners”) to deliver tailored recommendations. By default, your information is shared with these Partners under strict privacy controls. You may opt out at any time, but this limits access to tailored insights and offers.
- Applications and Lender Decisions: If you choose to apply for a product, lenders will perform their own assessments, often through a hard credit search, which may temporarily affect your credit score. We encourage you to review all terms and conditions carefully and seek professional advice where necessary.
The credit history and insights we share aim to inform and educate you. However, businesses conducting credit searches rely on various sources and apply their own criteria when making decisions.
A good credit score or report does not guarantee acceptance by lenders or financial service providers. Each lender uses its own criteria, which may include factors like your ability to repay under potential future circumstances, such as changes in your financial situation or market conditions.
Open Banking Services
Our Open Banking Services are designed to give you a clearer understanding of your business finances and help you to improve your cashflow as well as identify credit and financial products that suit your needs. Our Services combine data from your bank accounts with your credit report to help assess cash flow, spending patterns and financial health and provide detailed financial insights.
- Consent and Security: To access these services, you must register for a Menna account and provide consent to connect your accounts with your bank(s), building society(ies) and card provider(s) (“Account Providers”). Consent is valid for 90 days and must be renewed to continue using the service. Secure authentication ensures the protection of your data, which is processed in line with our Privacy Policy.
- Usage and Revenue: The service is free to you, and we may earn revenue by sharing anonymized insights or providing data to the Partners you engage with. Your data is used solely to deliver the Open Banking Services and match you with tailored financial products.
- Data Accuracy: We rely on data from your Account Providers and do not verify its accuracy. If you notice inaccuracies, contact your Account Provider or notify us directly.
- Termination: You can cancel your Open Banking access anytime through your account or by revoking permissions with your bank but this may limit the functionality of our services. We may suspend services for security risks, policy violations, or if your Menna account is terminated.
Financial Products
We act as a credit broker, not a lender, to provide financial product offers through our marketplace. Our offers come from a panel of selected lending partners, which may not represent the entire market.
- We cannot guarantee that specific products or offers will be available to you or that you’ll meet the eligibility criteria for any displayed offers. Choosing to apply for a product or service is entirely your decision, and we will never submit an application on your behalf without your explicit consent.
- We earn commission when you are approved for a product, but this does not affect the offers we present to you or how offers are ranked.
- To provide personalised offers, we may share your personal data with our Partners for eligibility checks or offer generation. More details about how we handle your data are outlined in our Privacy Statement.
Please note: While we strive for accurate and timely insights, all information is provided “as is” and is not guaranteed to be error-free.

If this process fails, we may not be able to offer you all our Services or may need to close your account. For security reasons, we might not disclose why the process was unsuccessful.
If your details can’t match a credit report, we’ll guide you on building your credit history for future access. Periodic checks with the CRA may be performed to confirm your eligibility for the Services.
